Scones!!!

Didn't try scones before until one day Aunt Esther homemade some and offered me them. Was totally in love with the buttery fragrance and of course, the sweet soury taste of the cranberries! *me loves everything related to berries!* =P
According to Aunt Esther, the secret recipe of this cranberry cream scones was the cream cheese added in it. It was the secret ingredient that made it remain soft and crumbly the next day. Even you put it in the fridge and reheat it after that, it remains moist and soft and crumble. How awesome!
Aunt told me that she got the recipe from a food blog of her friend and so I quickly got it and tried it on myself last night. Oh ya, yesterday was the last day of my work, and I baked to 'distress' XD

Killer Cranberry Cream Scones
recipe from wendyinkk

125gm all purpose flour
125gm cake flour (original recipe only called for all purpose, I substituted half with this as a safety measure)
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
80gm dried cranberries, coarsely chopped
120gm cream cheese, room temp
30gm butter
90ml milk
1 egg, 1 Tbsp removed for glazing

Glaze
1 Tbsp egg mix with 1 tsp milk
Extra melted butter for glazing

1. Preheat oven at 200C. Combine both flours and baking powder. Sift twice to aerate. Mix in salt.
2. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in flour mixture until it resembles fine crumbs.
3. Combine egg and milk and pour into (2).
4. Mix with a spoon until moistened. Lightly mix in cranberries.
5. Spoon batter into floured moulds and lightly tap to flatten. Lift mould carefully. (I didn't use moulds, I shaped them myself)
6. Glaze scones with egg mixture.
7. Bake for 9 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and quickly brush on melted butter. Put them back into the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
9. Leave to cool for 10 minutes.
10. Serve warm with butter and jam. (I tried butter and it was lovely)

I ate them with a glass of milk and it was totally awesomeeeee!!! 0 comments

In The Progress

Just realized that its already more than a month since that incident happened.
After a talk with my jimui leow leow last night, I've made a decision. Enough la, really.
Maybe there won't be any 'to be continued' episodes coming after this, but I really do didn't regret for those times. At least I've did my best during the past and its time to go on. Really, its time to go on. I told myself.
Prayed hard to seek strength. Heavenly Father is my refuge and source of wisdom. May Your joy and peace be with me till I meet the one. Grant me content during these periods and look forward.

SKINFOOD ♥

I'm totally an idiot in skincare and cosmetics but as I grow, I've started to be conscious about it, hoping it won't be too late, haha XD And once I started with Skinfood, i just can't help falling in love with it
The first Skinfood product I owned was the Aloe Sun BB cream. After pondering for some time about which brand's BB cream I should buy and browsing over reviews about it, finally I settled down with this. And hoho, it really didn't turned me down.
Just as other Skinfood products. it comes with super duper nice packaging! Packaging is really a crucial factor in nowadays marketing sales, hoho =P
I thought of buying a BB cream because I don't do make ups(I'm a make-up idiot >.<). But with just a BB, it'll give you some kinda natural and 'no make up' feel. Suits for me,haha =D
Like what many reviews said, this Aloe Sun BB Cream from Skinfood feels light as if you didn't apply anything on your face. It has perfect oil controlling functions too as BB cream tends to make your face oily, like what my friends experienced with other brands' BB. Somemore, it smells good! ^.^
For some random outings, I just apply this after the skincare steps and tadaa! Ready for outings, haha =D
Been recommending this for my girls too =)
I'm using Skinfood masks too as Helen complimented that their masks are really great! And after trying them out myself, they're really good. And till now, I've owned quite some types of them. Can't resist =P
All of them are great, especially the Rice Mask Wash Off. It was among the top sellers of Skinfood products. Its formula softens the skin and lifts dead skin cells. The rice grounds did feel nice and helped to massage the dead cells away. It has some whitening effects too as the skin kinda brightens when u wash it off. Heard that their Black Sugar Wash Off works well too, might get it someday =P
They have mask sheets too and this is the only one that I've tried out. According to the beauty advisers when I visited their outlet the other day, I had dry skin that she recommended me to try this out. Its a watermelon mask sheet, it really smells watermelon when I put them on, lmao XD
Truly, it is very moisturizing. It keeps my face hydrated whole day long on the day I tried it. Might getting it again perhaps. =)
The latest product I got from skinfood was this. The Pink Salt Body Scrub.
I've been having some skin problems on my upper arms for quite some time. It was like some kinda little breakouts, which the difference is they appear on my upper arms instead on my face =.=lll I wonder why. It was annoying although they're not obvious, but I do mind. It makes me feel that I had skin disease. Aiksss >.<
So, the other day when I went to Skinfood outlet, I asked one of the beauty advisers what product should I use to get rid of them. She recommended me their body scrub to scrub them off. It was the new product in their outlet and it just arrived the day before I bought it, LOLX.
After trying it for some time, my skin problem really did improve as the breakouts became less and even fading! How happy I was, totally impressed. ^.^
Skinfood products I've owned untill now. Still counting!♥ 0 comments

7th of June

It's 7th of June. It's your birthday.
Called you up on the very right time when the clock strikes 12am and pop! Being turned down.
Never. It never happen in my life for the past five years, I'm always the first. Heartache.
Got your reply after about an hour and yes, exactly as what I'd thought of.
It's not as easy as I thought I can. But I'll try.
I believe there's a strong me inside. I'll be able to do it.
Still emo-ing. But it'll fade. With time.
Be calm, stay still and wait patiently. Commit in Your hands.

Happy birthday. Best wishes to you. 0 comments

Heartache

Have you experienced pain at the right hand side of your chest? It's like the heart had a hole in it. Very pain, heartache.
Been experiencing heartaches these few days. Been emo-ing these few days. Been saddening these few days. Been recalling memories these few days. Been waiting for texts these few days.
I've never regret in making decisions in my life before. This is the only decision that I regretted. One decision I've made last year.
I'm late. Perhaps, late for a forever. 2 comments

Grandma, we'll meet in the Heavens

Haven't been updating for some time due to cases in my family. Not something good though.
Grandma of maternal side of mine had passed away on last Thursday. Ya, although we've known this day would probably arrive very soon during those period as Grandma actually was diagnosed with colon cancer last year before Christmas. But still, everyone were sad on the loss. We mourned and grieved during the three days funeral ceremony. Times were hard for all of us, especially Mum.
Anyhow, deep down, we feel gratitude and give thanks to God as we knew actually Grandma had been set free from illness and pain. No more tears, no more worries. Grandma is now resting in God's arm, enjoying the promising joy and peace in the Heavens.
Thank God for giving us this hope---the reunion of all of us in the promised land one day. I believe Grandma will be waiting for us with her lovely wide smile at the doorsteps.
Ya, Grandma loved to smile very much. A joyful and jovial lady whom we loved a lot.

Loads of  memories with beloved Grandma. Here are some of them during cny, family gatherings, birthdays, mother's day...

Grandma has lotsa sons, daughters and us, grandchildren who loved her very much. She'll be forever in our hearts.

Jesus is the Lord of my family

Rest In Peace, Grandma~

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4

With love,
